ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS:

While traditional asset classes like Stocks, Bonds and Cash are addressed by Falconstar’s Wealth Management & Investment Management units, the Alternatives Advisory unit focuses on Private side of market. The Alternative Asset Advisory provides following services to complement Falconstar’s conventional investment and wealth management capabilities.
 

• Private Capital Raising: Falconstar provides credit advisory and debt syndication capability for alternative credit deals. These deals are intended to provide capital for variety of illiquid situations in real estate and hospitality sectors. Through the cross-border network of institutional investors and pools of private capital, we pride ourselves at doing justice to unconventional special situations.

• Alternative Investment Funds: Although from an Investment philosophy perspective, we believe in deploying client funds in traditional Fixed Income, Corporate Bonds and MFs, in recent times due to the tightening of Banking regulations post Lehman crisis, Falconstar has very selectively considered advising only institutional client funds on having core allocation to alternative credit. For HNIs a mix of Equity and Hi-grade Debt offers an attractive risk-reward since there are no satisfactory data points on alternative credit funds in India compared to developed Western credit markets.
